Saeujeot Sauce (shrimp sauce)

This is a traditional salted and fermented shrimp based sauce. We made it a little more ketogenic by the addition of MCT oil. Sauces are a great way to increase the fat content of a recipe or main dish that does not contain a lot of fat. Serve this with our Korean Bo-ssam recipe!

INGREDIENTS

2 teaspoons salted shrimp
2 teaspoons liquid from the shrimp jar
2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 teaspoons sesame seeds
1 tablespoon MCT oil or other neutral flavor oil
2 teaspoons Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)
sprinkle of the green part of scallion to taste

DIRECTIONS

1Mix all ingredients together and serve.
